MSCI® EAFE Index
MSCI® EAFE Index (Europe, Australasia, Far East) is a free float-adjusted market-capitalization index that is designed to measure developed market equity performance, excluding the U.S. and Canada. As of April 2002, the MSCI EAFE Index consisted of the following 21 developed market country indices: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Morningstar® Category Identifies a fund based on the underlying securities in its portfolio. Domestic stock funds are categorized by the manager's investment methodology and the size of the companies in which the fund invests. International stock funds are defined by region. Bond funds are classified by tax status and time period for the fund's maturity or duration. Categories are assigned based on the fund's portfolio statistics and composition over the past three years.
