You can contribute from 1% to 60% pre-tax of your eligible pay. If you are a Highly Compensated Employee (HCE), you can contribute from 1% to 7% pre-tax of your eligible pay, subject to change based on results of discrimination tests. For 2010 the IRS limits your contribution to $16,500.
